NFL Hall of Famer Larry Allen Dies at 52

Cowboy Legend Passes Away While on Vacation

Pro Football Hall of Fame offensive lineman Larry Allen has died at 52, the Dallas Cowboys announced Sunday. Allen was on vacation with his family in Arkansas when he passed away suddenly.

Allen was a 10-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro selection. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.

Allen played 12 seasons in the NFL, all but one with the Cowboys. He was a key member of the Cowboys' Super Bowl XXX victory in 1996.

"Larry Allen was a great player and a great person," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said in a statement. "He was a cornerstone of our success in the 1990s and early 2000s. He will be deeply missed."

Allen's death is a reminder of the fragility of life. He was a young man who had seemingly accomplished everything he could have hoped for. His passing is a tragedy for his family, his friends, and the football world.
