Early Life and Career

Gregory Scott White, known as Greg White, was born on September 18, 1970, in Visalia, California. He played baseball at Fresno State University before being drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 11th round of the 1992 MLB Draft.

White made his professional debut in 1993 with the Class A-Advanced Clearwater Phillies. He quickly rose through the Phillies' minor league system, reaching the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons in 1995.

Major League Career

White made his Major League debut with the Phillies on September 2, 1995. He went on to play 14 seasons in the MLB, primarily as an outfielder, with stints at first base and third base.

White played for several teams throughout his career, including the Phillies, Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, and New York Mets. His most notable stint was with the Phillies, where he played from 1995 to 2003 and was part of the team that won the 2008 World Series.
