Blue Jays Add Another Win to Their Streak

Team Extends Record to 12-2

Toronto, ON - The Toronto Blue Jays continued their winning ways on Tuesday night, defeating the New York Yankees 5-3 to extend their winning streak to 12 games.

The Blue Jays took an early lead in the first inning when George Springer hit a two-run home run off Yankees starter Gerrit Cole. Toronto added another run in the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Bo Bichette, and extended their lead to 5-0 in the third inning on a two-run single by Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The Yankees finally got on the board in the fifth inning on a solo home run by Aaron Judge, but the Blue Jays bullpen held strong to preserve the win. Jordan Romano picked up his fourth save of the season, striking out the side in the ninth inning.

The Blue Jays now have the best record in the American League at 12-2. They will look to extend their winning streak to 13 games on Wednesday night when they host the Yankees again at Rogers Centre.

Conclusion

The Blue Jays are off to a hot start in the 2023 season, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. With a potent offense led by Springer, Bichette, and Guerrero Jr., and a solid bullpen, the Blue Jays are a force to be reckoned with. If they can keep up their winning ways, they will be a serious contender for the World Series this year.
