Originally released in December 2021, this much awaited news made on October 12 has been a source of joy for fans. The news was announced on October 12 and confirms that the series will return for a second season.

This is great news for stars of the show, Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina.

Cuoco plays the role of Ava and Messina portrays the character of Nathan. Based on a True Story season 2 is confirmed, however, filming will not start until the SAG-AFTRA strikes are resolved. Therefore, a release date has not yet been determined.
